The way I see it, helmet holes are a net positive despite their flaws. They've opened the door for much greater customization and allowed for clones like commanders cody, fox, and possibly wolffe, to be created somewhat properly. They still need to ditch printed waistcapes and fix how they print light colors on dark torsos (ahem, fox)

I find this controversy very dumb. Commander Cody wouldn't look right without his visor just like Captain Rex wouldn't look right without his antenna.
Plus, if the holes were in the "correct" position, the visors (which LEGO had a mold for) and macrobinoculars wouldn't sit right and it would look incredibly awkward.

It's honestly just something that's so small to complain about. The whiniest YouTubers are, hands down, Lego YouTubers. Especially Ryan from M&R.
We could literally get THE perfect set: great price, many great minifigs, cool play functions, and would make a great display piece. And y'all would STILL find something to complain about. It's usually the smallest stuff too, like a sticker where it could be a print, minifig prints, or god forbid the helmets have holes

Eh. I’m still mixed about it, but don’t care much anymore. It’s barely noticeable when you add the visor pieces or scopes. I’ve gotten used to it.

I wish they just made it so characters with visors like Cody and Fox had holes above the bump, characters with rangefinders like Rex and Fives had one hole on the right side which is on the bump, and normal troopers didn't have any.

Just bring the helmet holes down to they’re in universe spaces and create new molds for the attachments.

I prefer helmet holes to be honest, Some Clones would look HORRIBLE without them, and having them on regular clones would also allow more customizing, If Cody didn't have helmet holes, then a visor wouldn't be able to go on him, which is one of the only reasons I can tell Cody apart from some clones, he would just look weird without it

The minifigures that NEEDS helmet holes for their attachments get them, but the ordinary clones get no helmet holes why? because they don't need them

I think LEGO should only give helmet holes to Clone Troopers who actually NEED them and not to Clone Troopers who don't.

i think the should place the helmet holes like where the p1 helmet holes are, so its not a bump un the helmet and it can be accescorised

its not very complicated, grunts shouldn't have helmet holes and you only give helmet holes to specialists or commanders, and it there shouldnt be that bump under the hole there should just be the hole and thats it. like you dont have to decide to just only have helmet holes or remove it completely, u just make it accurate to the lore. captain rex should have helmet holes and so should the entire 501st specialist battlepack because they're specialists but a grunt in the 212th at-te set shouldnt have helmet holes but cody should.
(side tangent lego false advetised the helmets as the box shows triangles on the helmets but you get a half assed triangle with no point)

point is the problem is that they give ALL OF THEM helmet holes and not some.
