Dork disc are Kool.... don't know why they get a bad rep

Spoke protectors are really good for aero, all the top teams use them and they are worth at least ten seconds on a twenty five mile time trial.

Heh, I am paranoid about limit screws moving on their own even though they rarely do so I had a few Titanium dork discs made for some of my old bikes. They can look pretty good as long as you aren't running the plastic ones.

I've never had a chain come off the big cog on my casette, I don't know how you physically could seeing as how the deraileur would slam into the spokes at that point.

I never took the "dork disc" off my bike...🙄 To shimano's credit, I've never needed to protect my spokes...
