Quick, Simple little impromptu video. While working on my MK39 Starboost Suit i had a pretty bad layer Shift on my CR-10Max. Narrowed it down to some bad G-Code but it still happened.

Rather then stop the print, i decided to let if finish and utilize another tool under my belt!

Hopefully this video helps you and give you a bit more confidence in fixing some prints!

Great video man. An awesome topic that a lot of people eventually run into

I came to this video because mine had some slight layer shift. Yours was indeed a lot worse than mine. Mine can probably just be sanded. Though great video for future failures! May even try it out on another failure for test purposes.

One tip i did like was the recycle part. I have a box of scraps that I haven't figured out what to do with. Fantastic idea for it!

I've found that welding the back, then filling the front in with glue after then wiping it down with a damp cloth creates a nice finish without having to use and filler on the front. Apart from filler primer that I have been using anyway regardless.

Thought I could do this but just had to be sure. My 4-day print finished with a massive shift in it, because a door fell on the printer

Hey mate, i know this is an old vid but im interested in knowing if you ever found out why this actually happened to your print and was it related to the stringing also ?

When you say to flip it and drop it down in cura to reprint the rest. How do you go about getting the part at the same angle again in cura? And btw great idea on using fail prints or even support parts for filler. I never even thought about it. Iv been using a roll with like 50g left
