Elementor 3.0 - New Feature Walkthrough

Elementor 3.0 is a major release and according to Ben Pines at Elementor, brings 3 major features.

First, Global Settings for colors, fonts, widgets, backgrounds, lightboxes, and more.

Second, it introduces a visual theme builder archive.

And third, it brings performance enhancements. You'll see what level of performance enhancement GTMetrix things Elementor 3.0 brings compared to Elementor 2.9 and it's not great.

Good video! I like that your primary focus is on Elementor (and related plugins).
As for the performance part, I think you would have to build/test a page in 2.xx and then build/test the same page in 3.xx. Pages build in 2.xx doesn't seem to take full advantage of the new performance enhancements, when you open them in 3.xx. That said, I think perhaps the performance 'boost' is smaller, than Elementor claims. But it's a little step in the right direction... As Elementor users we should really insist, that they keep a steady focus on less bloat and more performance.

You rock Bjorn, which page Builder is your favorite ? Divi, Elementor, WP Bakery's / VC or maybe another one ? And in your opinion, does using page builders on the top of WP really affecting page speed score ? If you haven't done a video already about that i would love to see your routine and fav tools or tips (WP medias optimization, disable unnecessary plugins, minify code...) Bjorn - You seem to be paying a lot of attention to Elementor. I agree, it’s a very capable “side” platform, but I find it to be quite slow. I built a simple Brizy site in a shorter amount of time than with Elementor, and its “good enough” for what the client wanted. But of course, Brizy does not have all the bells and whistles of Elementor. I wonder if you have given up on Brizy.

A suggestion I believe would really help your audience.
Firstly, before designing or styling, it is important to have a testing template that includes,
1. H1, H2 H3 H4, and H5 texts
2. Buttons
3. Progress bar
4. Contact forms, bookings forms, event calendar etc.
5. Background images or colour for at least 3 blocks
6. Image box, carousels, etc
7. Testimonials and Team member widgets, and any other element or widget they have decided to input on the site.
This way, they can style all the elements and widgets on one page, save and use the settings for the main project.

Bjorn, before Elementor was introduced, I learned a lot by watching your videos. But now you only talk about how to build in Elementor. What happened..? Can’t you go back to making videos about other stuff...?? For me, who don’t use Elementor, nothing for me on this Chanel anymore 😞.
