This is one of the hardest videos I have had to film. I talk openly about autism diagnosis and the process we went through. Some words of wisdom on how I got through it. I am as honest and raw as I’ll ever be.

This made me soooo emotional. My two year old was recently diagnosed with level 3 asd. He was playing with his cars today and I was on the floor with him and he came up and kissed me twice 😭🥰 seriously the best feeling in the world

Lots of similarities to my story and my son. He's almost 23, did 2 years in college, has worked jobs, traveled, has hobbies and groups of friends and lives a great life.

I am on the spectrum. I stim, there are lots of foods I can’t eat as well as fabrics I can’t touch or wear . I’m a terrible sleeper in facts it’s the hardest part of having autism for me( because when I’m tired my symptoms worsen). I get overwhelmed in stores and large crowds. With that being said there is hope . I am a productive member of society. I have a full time job, a house a car . And I have raised two amazing daughters. Diet for me is huge I’m a vegan and try to eat Whole Foods . My symptoms are lessened when I eat well and when I have a strict routine.

You're right families with the "typical" child do not understand. It took me having my second child and watching her developing faster than her big brother was the awakening for me. You're a beautiful family, thank you for your openness.

I loved this video, my son is 7 with Autism. He was almost all non verbal until he was 5! Now he is making complete sentences and can have a conversation! He is half autism program and half gen ed. We never know how our kids will grow but we can never give up on them. Forget the doctors who say there's nothing we can do. We as parents have to work hard for our kids. Bless you and your beautiful family. ❤

Thank you for this video! My daughter just got diagnosed with autism. She’s 2.5 years old. I cry, I cry a lot because I feel alone and I’m overwhelmed and I don’t know where to start. Your video made me feel that everything will be okay. Thank you very much

Thank you for this video. We just got the diagnosis today. It has been overwhelming and I already have been feeling like others don’t want me to feel all the emotions I’m feeling about this. I love my son and know he can and will live a full life, but I still have fear and worry about how the world will treat him.

When i got my son diagnosed i cried a lot too. Even though Autism isnt bad, i felt like it was my fault. And i did feel alone as well. God doesn't give us things we can't handle.

I am an expecting mom. I am so glad I stumbled on this video! I am a special needs teacher for level 3 asd. You did amazing in intervening with your son. I am always very amazed when parents educated themselves and whole heartedly do the best they can for their child! Thank you!

As an autistic adult who got a late diagnosis I really loved the valuable information you have shared.

My granddaughter has autism and she is attached to my daughter, she is now 13. My daughter removed her from school in the second grade and has homeschooled her and it’s made such a difference. They belong to a homeschooling group so she has plenty of social contact. May God Bless you both

I don't have children, but I just wanted to say you are such a strong and engaged mum. I don't know what it is like have a child with ASD, but what I do know is that you being an advocate for your sons health and wellbeing is really empowering to watch. So happy to see that you shared your journey with the world.
