For a number of years, I have been an ardent follower of your lawn care programs. (Lawn Care Nut & Yard Mastery) I live just north from Jacksonville, FL and have a 12, 500 sq ft St. Augustine lawn. Since today is Oct 20, 2024, I decided to open up the 2023 Warm Season Guide to see what I might apply to the yard to give it a boost for Halloween. I decided to “tank up” a combo of 7-0-0 Greene Effect a long with a mixture of 0-0-2 Micro-Greene. (Yep….the ole “Double Dark.”) On page 103, the instruction says to spray the mixture and let it absorb, then after an hour, water it all in. (Which is what I did.) After finishing that project, I returned to the Warm Season Guide and noted on page 119, the instructions for 7-0-0 Greene Effect is to “let it sit on the grass. DO NOT water it in.”
I’m confused as to which method is the correct one. Spray, let it sit for an hour or so, then water it in. Or should I have sprayed and just let it sit and DO NOT water it in. (*Note that the containers only have mixing instructions….no application information.)

Thanks for all you do in providing much needed advise to all of us lawn enthusiasts.
