I live in South Texas and that is a extremely common sight. We have rattle snakes everywhere, and unfortunately people go out of their way to kill them because people just don’t understand all the good that they do. Bravo for doing all you do. If you can educate people that snakes should be respected and represented, my hats off to you!!

I live in NW Florida and as a child saw tons of these and Pygmy rattlesnakes. I only see a few here and there these days. Definitely fewer around.

I had read a study that relocated rattlesnakes have a mortality rate of over 90% due to not being familiar with the area. (I.E. Not familiar with where to find food and water) this was a study done in Oklahoma with western diamond back rattlesnakes. I'm wondering if there is and similarities with the eastern species.
