i was 14 years old when i bought my first Mega drive2 console, so many memories come back from just looking at it now, i'm 33 now .

This is definitely not a clone. I too have one, bought at around 20 years ago. Asian PAL Mega Drive MK-1631-07. The cartridge slot is larger, so it can fit cartridges from all regions, however, there are still some games that will not function on it, and even though it runs Genesis games, they will only run at PAL 50Hz.

I bought this as well and payed extra cash for good wrapping. Remember that when you bought this console the postage from Thailand was free, and the console itself was free. It was only a few bucks extra to get this in 100% mint condition. The reason why you have to pay extra is because of the extra weight, plastic, box, and he has to make the perfect box shape himself.

Early versions were made in Japan, later versions were made in Taiwan to cut costs. I've got the early version which is made in Japan. It will fit cartridges from all regions, but not all games will run though. And it only runs at PAL 50Hz, even for NTSC games. =)
