As impressive as it is for old NES games on modern sets I feel like the price is ultimately always going to keep people from ever wanting to bother. Especially with how insanely overpriced original NES carts are nowadays, if I even considered one I'd probably lean towards the Retro AVS or just opt for a Framemeister and use OG consoles

You guys needed to elaborate more about the jailbreak firmware. It is the main reason to own the system and gives it significant value over the other NES clones. It basically becomes an Everdrive/Flash Cart for 18 different 8-bit systems including NES, SMS, GB/GB Color, GG, Colecovision, Atari 2600/7800, and O2. With the jailbreak firmware, you can also dump the roms from your NES carts to your SD card. This system is amazing with that firmware.

I just want to say that i really liked Ryan in this video. Usually he is not my favourite, in a lot of videos he seems a bit "off" but in this one he really came with strong arguments and overall great insightful comments. Definitely an upgrade.

With the cartridge slot being so tight, it'd be good to have an eject function.

The thing is, there's a jailbreak firmware available made by the same person (Kevtris) who helped make the system for Analogue that plays a TON of systems already (Atari 2600/7800, Intellivision, Master System, Game Gear, Game Boy/Color, Colecovision), with more planned, and cart/controller adapters in development. That firmware makes the NT Mini worth every penny.

I think the guy who made the FPGA Kevtris released the updates to add additional functionality (i think it can play other systems running games of sd card)

The Nintendo subscription Ryan is talking about does not offer access to Virtual Console games forever as long as you pay, it apparently only offers access to a few games that month, after that month the games will be swapped by others. So you can only access them for that specific month.
