There is a High Interest Savings account type of ETF that doesn't pay the interest but adds the income to the NAV. So when you sell, it is capital gains.

Thank you so much for what you are doing for those who are going to retire in a few years and explaining everything with simple tables and numbers. I have a question regarding GIS - as far as I know that GIS (if you are eligible) will be paid for 12 months if you spend 6 months in Canada. What happens if someone spends 7 months outside Canada? Does he get only 5 months of GIS or no GIS for that year or just for 11 months because he is outside Canada 1 month more than 6 months requirement???
