I did the haunting mission 1 time, saved just before killing them, reloaded only 1 time and the corn dropped

Also for everyone who is doing this mission, save as close as you can to the beasts to kill and reload each time you don't get the corn, don't actually go back and forth because you'll waste a lot of time just doing that

There is no need to use one of those greatswords. I just used Ragnarok and did a couple warp strikes to their face. Dropped 1st fight.

Actually you can get one from the vulcano place, there are those mobs that drop the smae stuff and a royal tomb as well i had this item but sold it.

Whew, the very first time I tried it I didn't hit the horn even once until the very last hit and the item dropped. That never happens to me.

This is the quest that I can't get started for some reason. Cid is in the lighthouse, I have Engine Blade II but I can't seem to start the quest.

VFAQ, I can't for the life of me get this to work. I beat the game, I'm level 99, I have the sturdy helixhorn AND couerl whiskers and I can't complete A Better Engine Blade III or A Better Drain Lance II. I assign the quest, then goto Cid in Hammerhead and when I talk to him all he says is "ah, brace yourself for power" and nothing happens. Nor does the map tell me to go anywhere but here. Wtf.
