I'm like a quarter of the way through the game, and I realized I had never done this quest, so I went back for some easy and proceeded to get stuck in a fucking well for an hour

i got to the place, spent an hour looting and searching, went through the well twice and came out and she never appeared!

Tip: Use YRDEN (Magic Trap) to remove it's immunity to physical damage.

For anybody stuck at the point where geralt just examines the body wait till noon to have your first fight fight with the noon wraith and Then check the bestiary after words, you should get the prompt to now burn the body.

I found the diving/cave bit wayyy harder than it should’ve been, but I hate the game’s underwater swimming mechanic tedious.

Alright, so for those who dont know, the enemy you fight is called a "noonwraith" and in order for it to spawn, it has to be around noon, so just meditate until noon, and it should spawn, the rest is easy

I literally defeated her 3 times even after Gerlt said she done for Good. This whole quest was broken for me lol

I know many replies are old, but I never had any trouble with this quest several months back. All it took was creating >>>spectre oil<<< (which you can find materials for it at an herbalist or outdoors), then the YRDEN sign, and a good amount of short-distant dodging (not rolling the whole time.) Quick slashes work best here because wraiths attack swiftly. The wraith will most-likely show up around noon and evening times. I believe I first saw it at 6:00 PM dusk. Wraiths in general will usually only show in the evening (at night time.) If you're afraid of the dark or ghosts/spirits, then I guess you should avoid this quest. A noonwraith can specifically show up in the noon too, but apparently people had trouble with a bug. I didn't encounter this being an issue.

I had a buggy experience w/this quest that made me have to restart from a past save.
I didn't use my witcher sense to inspect the well. I had checked out the houses and found the diary. I returned and jumped into the well, where I found the bracelet. Returned to well and this time used my witcher sense. I pulled the skeleton out and inspected it. That was it. I had no bestiary entry for the noonwraith. I couldn't inspect the area where the skeleton was in one of the houses. I could only inspect the grass near the well. I learned that the noonwraith comes out at 12:00, so I meditated. Waking up, I saw the wraith hanging around the well. Geralt said, "a noonwraith." Then the wraith disappeared. I couldn't do anything after that so I restarted from a past save. I did the quest right the second time. Jumping down the well and finding the bracelet without inspecting the area seems to cause the bug.

If the witch didn't appear, rest for a while and she will show up.. i've tried this

HEY GUYS I FIGURED IT OUT. you have to go to the glossary and read the beastiary on the noonwraith and when you return to the game it will split to a cut scene where she will spawn!

I got the bracelet, but cannot pull up the corpse. when i get near the rope, nothing happens. in the video he uses his senses and it turns red. that doesnt happen for me at all....

I got it figured. First set clock to 2pm she will appear but dont fight her instead open menu and read. Then meditate again so she disappears and search for red marks and then jump in cave. Get the bracelet and just while ur in cave and her body hanging a cut scene will play. Come back up and search the houses all 3 . And then go to well and u will be able to appear her with bracelet

Got all the items, read the journal etc, can't cremate the body+bracelet. Wrath will show at 2PM, but I can't defeat it cuz it flees.

I'm stuck in well. I don't know how to get out. Update I found a way out thanks to you, and I see no ghost yet. It is night time though so, I'll just wait.

where is the bestiary says I have to read the entry about moonwraiths in the beastiary

The thing is, you have to distance yourself from the well. If you've got the bracelet, examined the corpse and everything just walk away from the well and meditate until 2PM. There you'll face the noonwraith. That worked for me
