Just got and played a few racks with my new avid sneaky pete 11.75, love this thing. The English, and control thereof, is amazing. Very pleased.

Cuetec all you need from a cue. all my pool playing life I have played with cuetec, many diehards are being converted to cuetec, the technology, quality, and the price working people can afford.

Great vid. What do you think about the colours? How’s the Mojave in person? Would you choose any other styles in the avid series??

Pictures always deceive so I wanted to get your thoughts as someone who has seen it in person.

I just received a brand new Cuetec Avid Era cue and I'm a bit dissapointed. First of all they sent me the shaft bended, it played ok but hey, it's a new cue so shaft MUST be straight. Cuetec replaced the shaft, hats off for them. But then the nightmare. It vibrates... a lot. It sounds like a spring when I hit a ball with spin, in Europe is way more expensive that in the USA. I don't know what to do, It's hard to get used to this awful vibration. What is you expert opinion? Thank you.

Thanks for this video very informative. I am thinking if I should get the chroma or the sneaky pete. I read that the cuetec chroma butt is two-part resin coated. Do you think the cuetec chroma butt would last longer than the sneaky pete?

What weight did you choose?
Did it come with weights you can take out, or is it hollow with no weights? I’m thinking about ordering a 21oz and then adjust to my liking by taking out the weights. Thanks.

so the difference between the avid chroma and the optx is the aesthetic of the butt right? bc when you buy the full cue we get the same LD shaft just a different color design as it doesnt affect play? im new to biliard gear and i wanna make this or the optx cue and seeing the differences

I have had a chroma for 2 years now. These cues get dinged up pretty easily. Most cues do. I have many dents on mine and 2 chips. This probably has nothing to do with the product itself. Both of the nicks happened when I loaned it to someone else. I do have a dark blue cue though. I only mention the dings because with a lighter cue such as the tan one in the video, these dings would be invisible. If I could go back, I would have gotten the sage green or this tan on.

How’s the balance of this cue? I found it to be very light around the tip (it’s hollow for the first several inches for the LD features). It feels a bit back heavy but overall too light for me.

If I buy one I’d probably add in one or two 0.5 oz weight bolts to it. Amazing playing cue, just doesn’t feel like one in the hands.

Does it feel slippery on the butt? because it doesn't have grips in it.Does the avid shaft change color in the long run; just like other wooden shaft/cue?

I have one. I can't tell any difference in deflection from the 12.4 revo I had

Is 12.75mm tip good for beginners? Or should i go with 11.75?

Love the review sir! I’m from Singapore and I’d like to support you. Do you have one in 11.75mm in Currency?

I'm confused. Is this a wood cue? Or graphite? Or what am I looking at. I want a step up from beginners' cue. I played with it just once. I assumed it was a wood cue. Can you explain this like you are speaking to a 5 yr old?

Good review but a cue fault you noted may be correctable. You said that the weight was a bit more toward the butt than other cues you used. Avid Chroma has a weight system that users spacer to move weights along the butt toward the shaft or butt end. It appears this is nothing like that available in the McDermott H-Series but it appears only McDermott and Avid Chroma have something to move the weight-balance point. It may allow the Avid Chroma to have the same weight balance as the others you have used.
