Watching Chris review shoes feels like i’m taking an Honors class for sneakers. Been watching sneaker Youtubers since 2011 (Shout out Eddie Win and YoAnty), but when I need a refresh or want to learn a new fact I always come back here.

I love AM1s. Was lucky enough to get the Safari's, Atmos Tiffany colorway and Pattas but the midsole and airbags just gave out. Every now and then I have to spend a bomb to sole swap them... Now I'll just get a pair every couple of years if I see something I like. Might just get this but not sure if I'll wear them often.

I’ve never owned a pair of any Nike Air Max’s and today (On Air Max day) I copped this Big Bubble pair on SNKRS for retail, as my very first! And an ‘86 OG classic. So excited!

These are dope! I copped the AM1 Anniversary royals back in 2017. Only wore them twice. I’m scared to wear them because of the materials. One small drop of anything on the toe box and you will catch hell trying to clean them. Nice comfortable shoe though.

I'm pleasantly surprised they actually made the midsole material soft again. The midsole material was also softer in the early air max releases. (up till about 91-92)
The same soft midsole material that was used in the air stab and air structure, windrunner, air max light, air max 90, and big window, The 180 and the Huarache midsoles were already a little harder.. The softer midsole crumbled quicker. The 86 am1 also looks better I think because the laceholes were separated a bit further from each other horizontally like many other high end 80's nike runners. Kinda like the sides of the shoes were lower.
