The Wittgenstein Monument is developed by artists Sebastian Makonnen Kjølaas, Marianne Bredesen and Siri Hjorth, in collaboration with KORO (URO) Art in Public Space, OCA, Office for Contemporary Art and The Fritt Ord Foundation. Produced by Hjerleid Craft Center by Njål Andreassen and David Hayden. Video by Falkeblikk.

The Wittgenstein Monument is situated in Skjolden, Luster, Sogn og Fjordane in Norway, not far from where the Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgensteins built his hut in 1914. The monument was transported from Dovre to Skjolden the 17th of August 2018. The monument can speak and whistle if you push a button situated on the lower side of the structure.

A model of the monument was exhibited at Fondazione Prada in Venize from May to November 2018, in the group show "Machines à Penser" curated by Dieter Roelstraete. The monument is part of the "Wittgenstein on Vacation" series.
