I worked in a body shop back when mystichrome came out. Someone messed up their cobra. We did the bodywork, Ford sent painters to the shop nasked off the spray booth and car. Sprayed the mystichrome paint and took all the trash with them when they left. Were trying to keep the paint and technique a secret. Now you can get it in rattle cans.

Im a 6th gen Camaro owner but had mustangs several times in my 34 yrs of life. The sound of a mustang is just something you can identify over anything else. The use of a DOHC v8 definitely worked in Ford's favor. That I've always loved. I had a 95 mustang GT in sapphire blue (kinda purple and looks blue in certain light). The mystic cobra is goated

That's the best kind of salvage title to get. Our shop used to buy, fix and resell salvages. Something like a Porsche boxer can total with damage to the convertible top pretty easily.

What nobody tells you is you have to get a rebuilt title for said vehicle and then your insurance is 2x as much so in the long run you would’ve been better off spending that extra 10k on the car with a clean title. Buddy has an rx8 with an R title. Insurance for basic was $280 a month. My rx8 was $130 a month. He has a cleaner driving record than me.
