Great videos! Its not just prime numbers that had little use outside pure math. Number theory had almost no use either. We had a joke that a PhD in number theory has one real life use case - a research position. BTW, Adi S. (S in RSA) was my Professor years before modern cryptography was a thing.

Hey man love the vids. I am in engineering school and I love learning about this stuff. Could it be possible that the solution to the reimann hypothesis is a "decrypter" for massive prime numbers allowing anyone to read private information? I can understand from the physics side why the hypothesis is wanted to be solved but I can't really think of any real world applications.

Do common encryption algorithms today(Rijndael, Twofish) also use prime numbers in their calculations(to mitigate reversal processes)?

how did you turn the 5174 to 625 using 253

using 253 how is the password 5174 encoded to 6825?

to convert 1528 to 2933 you used mod 3131.
for the conversion from 5174 to 6825 for sure you had used an specific mode.
without the data (THE MOD YOU USED) the example remains on the air, not clear.

Randell first thanks for the information am new on this and am trying to understand you. In the example you showed using PASSWORD 5174 you give the power but you do not give the mod. to find this mod until now is being impossible -
If this is only an example not involving real data that belongs to areal person I supposse you could share with us the mod number we need to decode the password.
Can you give this information and complete this hole of information of your video?
