Eric Cohen I sent your comment to our tech department here is their response:
It sounds like he wants to adjust the pressurestat on his machine; That's the "Micro Switch" he's referring to.  In order to know what's best, he should report back with his steam pressure.  1.2 bar is ideal on this machine.

I've got last year's model without the stainless skids for the drip tray. Can those be ordered and fitted on? Also, I've had the high limit thermostats trip a couple times over the last eight months. Is that a known issue?

Ok I think this is my new dream machine. Does this machine still hold up in the 2022 marketplace? Any other recommendations? I like the Mechanika V Slim, but it has the vibratory pump.

Hi. Just bought one of these couple of weeks ago and working like a dream. Just curious though - the little round cylinder that sits on the wall of the machine below the group head and above the drip tray - I notice mine constantly drips water as the machine is heating this supposed to be occuring? Kind Regards

i have the ecm technika without an attachment for constant water and knobs not levers, 2013 model. is there a micro switch to control steam output? my steam wand was blowing water for at least 20 secs and longer. the shop tech said it was a micro switch:
nothing changed and he's the only guy in town who services espresso machines. i heat up machine for 1/2 hr then pull shot. then using the water lever i pour out for 12 secs then purge wand. anything i;m doing incorrectly. please advise. thanks

Mark - I am strongly considering the Technika IV Profi from WLL. My only concern is the lack of PID control for a machine at this price point. Any concern with temperature stability here w/o the PID? I am very fond of the rotary pump for it's silent operation. I am less inclined to consider the Profitec Pro 500 although that would get me the PID - seems to be less feature rich, no rotary option and the aestics and build quality just don't seem to come close the Tecknica IV. Thoughts and recommendations? I've spent lots of time on the phone with your excellent team, Jesse, Daniel and MaryAnn - they have been exceptional but I am still undecided. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. The other machine I've thought seriously about is the Expobar Office Lever but I think I'd be stuck with upgraditis soon after that purchase. I'd like to bundle with a Vario - will that grinder be sufficient to bring out the best in the Tecknika iV? Or Pro 500 for that matter?

Designed in Italy, built in Germany would be better :-) but this is espresso machine I will go for.
