Don't go near the center. There is one wreckage when you landed there, you will not trigger battle with those monsters. I always fish there calmly without needing to kill any monster.

You can just park the Waverider on the opposite side of the boat where the Cryo slimes are and just glide towards the fishing spot. I fully upgraded my Catch without fighting on that spot.

My strategy is to fight those enemies during the day. Then find a good spot. After that, change the clock to night time. Enjoy fishing.

Just go around the side and enter from the back. You still have to deal with the Electro mage tho

U can easily skip the fight by going around the whole shipwreck and get on a toppled ship on the corner and fish

1 - go there by boat.
2 - clean up the area. This task should be easy with Zhongli (or any other shield unit) and Yanfei (probably Klee can fill this role too, but a I don't have her).
3- after cleaning up the room, install a teleport next the fishing spot.
4- now you are able to reach the place easily using the teleport. Just make sure to enable a shield (Zhongli/Noelle/Diona) right before to move there, 'cause cryo slimes and electromage will attack immediately !
5- The mobile teleport has a deadline, don't forget to install another teleport before the first one disappear!

Once you got rid of the enemies the first time just place a portable waypoint on the raft.
Next battles will be much easier on secure ground.

I always just rushed the fishing spot and then chilled with the abyss mage while catching those god forsaken fishes

I can avoid fighting while fishing on that spot, there's a spot on a wreckage where the enemies won't notice you. The one I hate there is getting an Efing Ornamental type cause you can't use to exchange. Last time I got was 2 ornament type out of 4. It triggers me so much. 🤬

I've never encountered them. I just take the sides and slowly fly towards the boat and move slowly until I see the fishing option

Little tip. Use your wave rider to take down all the cryo slime while keep maneuvering to avoid their attacks. After all the slime have been taken down, go to the center to fight abyss mage. This may take much longer but very much easier.

You don’t drive boat into the center you’ll definitely trigger all the enemies. You drive the boat around the ship wreck then eject yourself and fly to the larger shipwreck (I think it’s the northernmost one) instead of the floating crates and starts fishing, without fighting anyone

OR you could park the waverider on the left most side and fish from that one sunken part? The slimes wouldn't even notice, and the abyss mage never spawns
