[Old vs New] Fast Schindler Elevators at Aryaduta Semanggi, Jakarta

Originally installed in the 1990s and recently modernized by Schindler. Which one do you prefer? Note that the brand new M-Series buttons are actually push type, NOT touch sensitive.

Probably the strangest thing about these elevators is that they are quite small for a 40 storeys building, which is rather unusual for a high-rise residential tower.

Floors served: B2, B1, 1, 2, 5-12, 15-23, 25-33, 35-39, 50-53, 55, PH (39 floors)*

- 2016: Modernized with new fixtures, interior and possibly new door operator

Not a bad modernization, but still the old one is good.

In the new elevators, if you look closely at the “9” digit, you’ll see that these are (most likely) Schindler 7000 indicators incorporated into the older M-Series frame.
Also, I wonder why they wanted to lower the pitch of the multi-note chime in the first place? I like the original pitched chime.

I prefer the old M Series. I think M Series along with RT/MT and 310L are my favorite Schindler Fixtures.

The display looks a bit different LED. But the buttons looks very similar to old ones.

I like schindler 5400 AP and 300 P. But, I don’t like the schindler 300 P with loud chirme.
