if you are reading this in 2023 and get "devices not found". uninstall Avast antivirus worked for me when nothing else would. i could cast from my phone but not my pc because Avast was blocking all casting.

I have the mirror my screen option, but nothing happens when I click it. The dial9g box asking if we are sure we want to cast does not appear. All of this happened after trying to screen cast the Paramount+ app, which will not cast despite the cast icon in the app.

Oh I had to join the wifi of the chromecast. Also turn on local network on iphone privacy settings for google home.

So this is December 22, My google display is in the same Wi-Fi with my phone and 2 out of 3 times I can not see it on phone YouTube app cast menu..

Also check if you're signed in with the same Google account. I did everything, still doesn't work. I downloaded a third party app and it worked, but still not as good as Google Home.

If anyone is here with a BT smart hub 2. Change the wireless mode to mode 2. Chromecast will then find all available devices.

I have three phones, one tablet and a laptop. Only one of my phones can see the Chromecast and smart TV. The other two phones, tablet and laptop cannot see my Chromecast or TV. All of them connect to the same network. All of my devices could see and cast to TV before very well. Now only one device can do that. Do you know why? Please help. Thanks.

Just stopped working on my phone few days ago without any reason . I've 3 cast compatible devices on my home network, none is detected.
Works flawlessly on my tablet though.
