Not entirely correct. Asta Optional is the top variant which requires wired android auto/carplay due to bluelink feature to work. But Asta variant which doesn't have bluelink has wireless android auto/carplay and works flawlessly

I've berm using this for more than couple of months now. Very good. Connects seamlessly. I've been waiting for the size to get reduced to this, ever since I first saw bulky adaptors in amazon. And finally this gem!

Trust me wired aa and acp is a blessing. Wireless ones are battery hogs that eat battery like anything and even worse when using acp with iphones.
