One year ago, in response to community demands, I ordered the removal of the Confederate monument that had stood in Linn Park since 1905, creating a powerful symbol of our city’s desire to move beyond the pain of the past and unite into the future.

What about the Mahatma Ghandi statue in DC? Let's see what Ghandi thought about black people, shall we? "In 1903, when Gandhi was in South Africa,  he wrote that white people there should be "the predominating race." He also said black people "are troublesome, very dirty and live like animals." If Ghandi, a person who many cite as an example of a virtuous person, could say things like that, in addition to sleeping naked with his grandniece, how can people condemn US historical figures for "racism"? Turns out few people weren't racists in the old days, but they apparently still did things worthy of statues in DC. Will the Dems publicly condemn Ghandi as a racist and demand removal of his statue, yes or no?
