Behind the scenes at the 402 blockade

It's peaceful and quiet - for now - on a stretch of Highway 402 near Watford as protesters who have parked tractors on the highway warm themselves near a fire and help themselves to coffee and food

This “protest” was just sad. They piggybacked the Ambassador Bridge protest and diverted 400 series highway traffic onto roads that weren’t built to support them. They parked their vehicles on the 402 and just partied in a nearby field. Once the protest in Windsor was broken up and the bridge was freed up; these guys took their ball and went home. They went from planning to stay “as long as it takes” to gone in a week.
