Texas Children's Hospital responds to Gov. Greg Abbott's funding threat over viral doctor

Texas Children’s Hospital is facing backlash after one of its doctors posted a viral video on TikTok.

The rules require the hospital to ask but do not require the patient to answer. BIG difference. This is about knowing YOUR rights - including citizens. You have the right to refuse any question. When YOU (a US citizen) go to the hospital, you will also be asked. You need to know that how you answer does NOT preclude you from receiving medical care. The same applies to non-citizens. How many millions of tourists come to the US every year? This law could trigger mass incarcerations of people just here on vacay.

FYI UTMB is government funded and routinely treats non-citizens, including cruise and cargo ship workers, oil rig workers, and of course thousands of children that go to Shriners.
