An exploitative and tone-deaf documentary that treats serious issues as sensationalized shock value, rather than offering meaningful insight into the real struggles women face in these cultures.

From a different perspective, this documentary offers an insight into life in this country. By focusing on the values of people, especially women, the film provides an opportunity to reflect on cultural aspects, traditions and the challenges women face.

It is worth noting that customs and traditions can be viewed differently in each culture. The documentary not only describes but also raises important questions about women's values and freedoms, as well as the profound cultural and social influences on their lives. For those interested in society and culture, this is a reminder that such customs can often be much more complex and multi-dimensional than what appears on the surface.
Thanks for sharing these interesting discoveries

As an American viewer, I'm really taken aback by this topic—it’s eye-opening but also raises so many questions. How common is this practice today, and are there efforts to change it or protect women’s rights in these communities? I’d love to understand more about the cultural background and the reasons this tradition still exists. It’s surprising, but it would be great to learn what local people think about it and if younger generations view things differently.

‼️‼️ Here in the states, , I keep hearing People talk about ‘going back to traditional ways’. As it relates to intimate relationships. But what or who’s tradition are they referring to? For thousands of years prior to colonial oppression throughout the world. Many cultures all over the world, , for thousands upon thousands of years practice polygamy, polyamory/ethical non-monogamy, , And even polygyny. And in those communities, the entire village assisted in raising the children. So the children raised in those cultures/tribes/communities, , had many mentors, structure, love and support. So those who talk about going back to traditional ways (politically conservative, extremist republicans, neocons, Bible thumpers & the narrow minded), , They are only speaking from their more recent colonial/European conditioning/brainwashing on the subject. They can’t seem to be empathetic, reasonable, logical or apply critical thinking. when it comes to challenging their conditioning. But if they really wanted to go back to traditional ways, , of being in an intimate relationship. Monogamy would not be the answer. But they can never acknowledge that fact. Because it contradicts their conditioning. From the colonial, religious and sexual oppression. That has been imposed upon them for generations. We should challenge any all of these customs, , that do not speak to the individuals freedom of choice. The individual should have the freedom to select which intimate or relationship lifestyle, , that works best for them. Without social, cultural manipulation for pressure. Possibly changing financial systems can be an assistance to that. That way people forced or unwanted, intimate or marriage relationships, , out of desperation or because of financial strike.
