I'm looking for a phone that can game smoothly and have a solid camera, and between these 2 the Tecno Camon 30 Pro is better on both aspects. I should have no problem with Tecno's shorter OS updates. Better yet, the 30 Pro should be $400 compared to A55's $420 (12+256GB). Will have to wait for launch date here for the real price.

Nice review.

I don't own either one. But I went to a few shops around to have a feel of both phones in hand. I have to say the samsung felt significantly more premium, despite the bezels. That aluminium frame and slick UI made it feel almost as nice as an S24+. And with the 4 years update, its hard to make a case for the Tecno thats way more expensive despite having more RAM, storage and superior processor.

If Tecno can bring the Camon 30 pro 5g to 400k since the a55 cutrentlt starts at 395k qnd maxes out at 430k ish. Then the tecno would be a bit more appealing.

But I'm curious though, does any of these teo phones have support for multiple users like you'll find in mid range Oppo phones and the pixel lineup?

3:41 can agree on this. With the heft, it's fun to lift but once you're using it for watching video or long scroll, it's a pain to hold on one hand.

I admire your honesty. Tecno are terrible with software updates. If I am spending over 500k on a phone I expect at least 3 years of update. Great video

you put the 4k video and didn't specify the mode it was recording in, making it seem like Tecno is lagging in image stabilization
