Scott Tucker’s Algorithm 005- it’s Mental

In this short documentary about Scott's seemly endless obsession with the rudder repair of his 1999 Hunter 450 he's also confronted by another potentially catastrophic issue... a crack has developed at the joint between the keel and it's connection to the hull. This is absolutely horrifying since his hero and spirit guild Mike Plant died while sailing to Europe over 1,000 miles out at sea when his keel fell off. Then.... as if that's not enough, he can't get a straight answer from the boat repair professionals on which direction to go with the next step in rudder repair... either reapply the old fiberglass skin or lay new glass.

How does one cope... breathing helps but it's mental... and Scott needs physical progress...so in defense of his own sanity, Scott then begins re-siting those things that bring comfort and resolve ... like the belief that cotton clothing kills and his theories about how 50 somethings have a tenancy to no longer tolerate one other after over two or three decades of friendship. Conversely, Scott is also compelled to ruminate other recent personal issues that he will need to address soon enough on the Algorithm... stay tuned for a new update every Wednesday.
