Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra & XR - Samsung's Big Bet

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will include features and design updates inspired by the Galaxy XR. For those who don't know the Galaxy XR is Samsung’s take on Apple's Vision Pro a mixed-reality headset. Now, the Galaxy XR is set to launch around the same time as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra so it makes sense that we'd see some crossover. Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra in January.

It’s hard to get excited for the XR after Samsung abandoned its VR headset. Who’s to say they won’t do the same thing?

I typically upgrade my Galaxy phones every year, but I decided to skip the S24 series. My S23 Ultra is still performing exceptionally well. I’m looking forward to seeing significant improvements in the S25 series that would justify an upgrade.

Samsung needs to focus on developing their own unique features and improving their phones without imitating other companies. They should prioritize creating high-tech smartphones at affordable prices and consider including smartphone chargers and other accessories in the box. This advice applies to all Android phone manufacturers. Their goal should be to offer the best smartphones with all features intact at reasonable prices and reintroduce elements that make smartphones enjoyable. They should work on making phones fun again with better features and mobile apps.

I personally think if they are upgrading the 3x Optical Zoom camera to a 50 MP sensor which could easily handle a higher zoom range, then Samsung should change the 50 MP 5x Optical Zoom camera to a 50 MP 10x Optical Zoom one...

Before focusing on display upgrades, Samsung should prioritize resolving the persistent Green Line issue affecting many of their OLED mobile phones.

In reality, all I ask of Samsung is a battery 🔋 of at least 5500mAh (I don't care about the so-called optimization of the battery by Ai), a realistic color profile in photos and a better main photo sensor, and especially a speak to text/chat that works as well as the Pixels.

"The highest quality upgrades" yeah let's just give it a 3x 50mp and a 5x 50mp, that way we can make the 10x 50mp of s26 look really good!

Samsung is a joke, they're no threatening anyone with their 2 exact same camera lenses

All these AI features will obviously be integrated into all aspects of the smartphone but I certainly hope that they are not intrusive and still allow the user to use the phone as they intend to use it.

I no longer believe anything Samsung says anymore. Every time they release a new phone they promise you better this and better that, just look at the S24U. We all expected a lot from it as Samsung said a lot about the device and it never lived up to the hype and expectations. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not a huge upgrade compared to the S23U either.

how about the issue about green lines on the phone screen
