I am a USMC vet, and though I appreciate your recognition of the police and the military and the great job you did creating these flags, I am against altering the US flag in any way. I believe it is against the US flag code. Not trying to start anything, just letting people know my thoughts as a Vet.

Thank you. I'm a maker and I have watched many videos and seen many posts on these flags. Yours has by far been the most informative, I really appreciate your explanation of your process!

I'd like to experiment by using the stencil to pencil in the stars, but use a small wood chisel to hone them out. I am thinking that the chisel would make it look even more weathered, as the surface to each star would be somewhat uneven then. Lots of work, but like you said, it can be therapeutic like a coloring book is. Thanks for posting.

Just found your channel and it’s great! Why’d you quit making videos?

Nice job. Do you have any issues with the flag not being flush on the right side once you align the left side? Thanks.

Beautiful flag. I’m a retired police officer and retired military. I was wondering what color blue and green are you using?

Quick question, these flags with black strips and green or blue or even red, are they to show appreciation for the deceased or can they be given to friends and family in the military or law-enforcement or fire department that are living? I hope I asked the question right. Thank you.

Do you apply any kind of sealer or poly on the union area before using the dremel to carve out the stars. Awesome work

Is there a reason why you use the drummel for the stars instead of just painting them on with your stinsel? Awesome job!

Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. I have made several flags the same way except I join two pieces of 1x6 pine for the union then cut it to size on the table saw. I have not done B&W yet, only color but plan on trying it soon. All the best... Thanks, John

The flag and its likeness should be treated with respect. Its image should not be cheapened or tarnished by improper use.

The flag should not be dipped to any person or thing, including government officials—even the President.

The flag should never be displayed with the union (stars) down, unless as a signal of dire distress.

The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.

The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.

The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored so that it might be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.

The flag should never be used as covering for a ceiling.

The flag should never have anything placed on it.

The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose, nor embroidered on cushions or handkerchiefs, printed on paper napkins or boxes, nor used as any portion of a costume.
