you so frikin loud lol. btw you are incorrect, the correct instruction to delete pinned tabs:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Maps.
In the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Account Circle.
Tap Settings Settings.
Under "Pinned trips settings, " tap Delete pinned trips.
Tap Delete.
