Range Expectations | MEATER Product Knowledge Video

Know the proper ranges of your MEATER to make sure you’re always connected to your cook.

Original MEATER - Up to 33ft/10m
The probe Bluetooth pairs directly to your phone (or tablet) so make sure to leave your phone close to your cooker when you’re cooking to keep the connection. The range varies depends on the thickness of the cooker and the number of walls/obstacles between the probe and your phone.

MEATER Plus - Up to 165ft/50m
The probe Bluetooth pairs to the MEATER Plus charger, so leave the charger close to the probe when you’re cooking to keep the connection. Your phone (or tablet) pairs to the charger in an open air environment. The range varies depends on the thickness of the cooker and the number of walls/obstacles between the charger and your phone.

MEATER 2 Plus - Typical Range 250ft/75m (we've tested in an open airfield and reached 2500ft!)
MEATER 2 Plus uses Bluetooth 5 Coded PHY Long Range. Similar to MEATER Plus, the probe Bluetooth pairs to the MEATER 2 Plus charger, so leave the charger close to the probe when you’re cooking to keep the connection. Your phone (or tablet) pairs to the charger in an open air environment. The range varies depends on the thickness of the cooker, the number of walls/obstacles between the charger and your phone, and even the device you're using.

MEATER Block - The range of your WiFi network
The probe(s) Bluetooth pairs to the Block, so leave the Block close to the probe(s) when you’re cooking to keep the connection. If you’re monitoring the cook over WiFi, also make sure the Block is within your WiFi network and you can monitor the cook on your phone.

The probe will continually store data so if you ever lose connection, reconnect and everything will pick up where it left off.

I totally love them all, and carry the Meater+ in my RV - I'm never without one.
I just made a prime rib roast tonight, and it was absolutely PERFECT - tender, moist and juicy. Thank You Meater!

I have the meater+, and even with the dock right next to my weber cage, the signal from the probe to the dock can not really overcome the faraday cage effect

I travel for work and don’t have WiFi in the RV I live in full time, will the block still work in my case ?

Doesn't matter what electronic device you leave outside close to the smoker after 1-2 hours it will be dead in 5° temperature

I have a meter block and no matter what you do it disconnects pretty annoying. I also have a weber I grill it's pretty old but it never gives me any issues over Bluetooth I could leave it outside walk inside my house still never disconnects. Sorry I purchased this item for $280 should've just kept the weber I grill but I needed something wireless when I do rotisserie, if you don't need it for rotisserie don't buy it.

Connectivity? Keeps dropping even when 1 meter away. Same problem with iPhone, iPad...worst connection of any device I own, all categories.
Quality? Utter crap, 2 probes broken within one year, never overheated and taking very good care of the units. Finally the base broke and stopped charging the probes. Ended up in the rubbish bin where it belongs.
this is the worst waste of money ever, 400 dollars down the drain
