One thing I realized is that our brain sometimes convinces us we are worse than we can. I stopped listening to my brain telling 'gym might be too crowded, let's go tomorrow' and still forcing my legs to get me to the gym and I actually keep ending up having a great workout in any case.
Now recently, I set a goal to be able to do 40 push ups at once until September this year and I was stuck at 35 the entire summer - something makes it incredibly hard to go past 35. Now a few days ago, I convinced my brain that I WILL do 40 push ups whenever I do push ups and now I keep doing 40 push ups in the morning and everning 4 days in a row.
