Sorry about the clicking noise. A loose strap must have been hitting the camera. Recorded on a GoPro Hero 5.

Just bought the Luna X2 with the v2 Ludicrous controller. It's arriving here in 2 days! Your videos helped me make the decision. I've been stalking the Luna website for a couple of weeks when it all of the sudden I noticed the X-1 link was being redirected to the now X-2. It now comes stock with the silent gear. The only part of the deal I'm not too sure I like.

Considering the Frey AM1000 or the Luna X1. Frey available new locally. Which would you go for?

Did you have the pedal assist at level 3 the whole time or do you bring it down or turn it off while going down hill? also how much battery is left during this 35 minute trail ride?

Good video. I am about to pull the trigger on one and am debating whether the silent drive addition is worth it. Are you using one on your config? If not, what are you thoughts on the noise?

Thank you for the video. Can you tell how far you get with the 2000 watt motor, conditions like on the video or on a straight street? Just to have an idea and yes I know it's all relative😂, thanks

Where are you riding. I am a beginner and these trails look great!

With 2000w does it feel like it's a little too easy to move the pedals? Almost like pedaling is just for show? My current 1000w single speed hub drive feels that way, but maybe it's because of the all or nothing you get from a cadence sensor and lack of gear options. Also, does it have the option to dial down the wattage to street legal 750 watt when needed? I've heard conflicting reports on that.

All they have left is the small frame I wonder if that is too small I'm 5 9'.

Although I could just call it my BMX full suspension bike.

So the X-1 is a hill climbing machine?
I am running a BBSHD @ 52v on a standard mountain bike. I can do 60Kph + downhill with a tailwind I don't have the low gears for climbing. With 1500W of motor power this is not a problem but running 46 tooth front sprocket and 30 tooth back sprocket I have lost those low gears for climbing.
I am still getting used to it.
Still having that motor is very nice.

Thanks, what's the fastest and most comfortable (dual suspension) ebike in your opinion?

Great vid! What mount are you using for your GoPro?

I noticed in one of your replies below you also own a Frey AM1000. Which of the two do you prefer between these ebikes? I'm on the fence between both and leaning towards the Lunacycle X1...

What size did you get and how tall are you? My wife is 5' 7" and we just ordered a medium for her. Worried that it will be too big?

Watching this long video wich you are not focused on the noise I can tell you is absolutely ok and by the way the bike seems fill the gap between a ebike a and proper motobike, fast but maneuverable.

Yes, except TQ120 eBikes they are little bit slow ...

My advice: if you usually ride that twisty flat trails try to steep the front, a 140mm 27.5 fork 42 offset 27.5 wheel. Then get a 160mm 29 fork 51 offset with a 29 wheel for the downhill stuff. I don’t know wich or both you have but trust me is that’s the way

Congratulations men, enjoy it

For people watching (listening) to find out how loud this motor is the video doesn't really give you an accurate portrayal. Having owned a Bafang (Ultra) bike for about 9 months, my motor got noticeably quieter after the first few rides. On the other side, most(?) people aren't going to buy a 2000 watt bike to ride 6 - 10 mph behind pedal bikes on flat hard-packed terrain & will use the motor more aggressively. It seems from the few times the rider pushed the bike it got louder.
I think if JEL would make a video riding at more representative speeds of how most people would ride an X-1, it would give potential buyers a better picture of the bike's performance & sound.

I have a Sur Ron and love it but this video makes me want one of these. Does anyone think having a sur ron and one of these too indulgent?

At least you got to ride your bike. I bought the X-1 and was not so lucky. The thing would not stay on and then died completely. A complete waste of $4000. And the Luna support was a waste of time, except to have all the stupid of this bike pointed out.
