I lost my son in January 1986. This song helped me mourn my baby boy & to start again down life's paths. Thank you! Your song will always be a part of me.

I was an 18 year old Marine stationed in Naples Italy in 1985. This song is playing in my mind as I thought of my first love back in New York. I met my wife in Bagnoli italy. 35 years married. The song is haunting.

I dated a beautiful native american girl who had this long dark hair, and her name was April. We were 15-16 at the time, and we would listen to this on the way to the caves in Kirkland. Maybe she sees this and smiles wherever she is. This song hits my soul. I’m 40 these days.

This is mine and my wife’s song. She’s a flight attendant. Married 13 years, 11 yr old daughter. Now with the covid-19, she’s barely flying. So I play this on repeat. Such a great song. Love having her home with us

My baby sister passed unexpectedly recently. Found 2 copy's of this album still in her vinyl collection with her teenage signature on them, this was her 1st album she bought for herself. This song has my sister and our young memory's all over it.
Love You Kate. You left me, You left us too soon. I still ache for You.
Your big Sister, Vicci. 💔

My parents always used to put this song in car while driving to the sea. I am so blessed for finally finding this song... It reminds of better times.

This song always takes me back to a simpler and carefree time, when music was real. I played this album so many times.

My Dad bought this album in the mid-1980s when I was about 5. I loved it immediately upon hearing this song!! I wrote Dire Straits a letter and drew a picture of the band. They sent me a letter back. I'm still not sure to this day whether that was my parents handwriting 😂

Don't hear this song from these guys too much on the radio, not as much as Sultans of Swing or Money for Nothing, and I think they should play this one more often. I heard it for the first time in a long time today and I forgot how much I love this song. Not saying their other songs are not as good, but this one has a special feel and vibe to it.

Estou impressionado e ao mesmo tempo orgulhoso com a quantidade de brasileiros por aqui.

They came out in ‘85, I was 17. I’m a few months away from 55. And I’m still listening to Dire Straits. 🤍

I had a religious mother. This was the first rock and roll album I was allowed to own. It was in cassette tape. One of the best albums of all time. Timeless.

I was a young boy when I heard this great track. Mark Knopfler is the most under rated artist on the planet. His guitar skills rank in the top two or three super novas on this entire planet! This man deserves far more accolades than he has been awarded. Mark, you are the greatest!

My Dad was a huge Dire Straits fan. Every Sunday morning meant Dire Straits being played at our home. Miss him dearly.
