Ways the HIMYM ending would have worked:
1) If they didn't make Tracy so likable
2) If they didn't cast Cristin, who makes Tracy even more likable
3) If they ended the series after only a few seasons
4) if they didn't go far out of their way to show us why Robin and Ted shouldn't be together.

It's not that they killed her off, it's that it feels like the only reason they killed her off was to fufill a finale idea they had 10 years ago

After watching the episode "How Your Mother Met Me"...I'm sold. She's PERFECT for this role, PERFECT for Ted. Couldn't be happier with who they chose and how she portrays the character. She's like, exactly what I'd hoped for haha.

For those saying that they loved the ending... here's why Robin and Ted aren't a good match in my opinion: Robin only truly wanted Ted when it was convenient to her. She rejects him at first (which I don't blame her for, he came off too strong, classic Shmosby) and once he moved on with Victoria, she realizes she liked him, called him at 2:00am to "make juice" knowing he still had a gf and got mad when he lied to her about the supposed breakup.."but um"..why call a man who has a gf to join you at 2am in the first place? Then once they break up she comes from Argentina with a dude. who does that? why would you want to rub that in? it hurt ted so much he got drunk and got a butterfly tattoo (awesome) which led to Stella.. by that time, Robin had slept with Barney.. one of Ted's best friends. Then, once again, Robin realizes she wants him only bc he's with Stella. She even tells him at his own wedding that it was nice to know that if she ever changed her mind about kids and marriage he was there.. really? so Ted was just a backup plan to her? Then when she dates Don, she distances herself from Ted (and the rest) and once he dumps her for his career she turns to Ted again. When she dates Kevin and he dumps her, she turns to Ted once more, they kiss, he asks her "I think you know how you feel about me now and time isn't going to change that...do you love me?" and she said "no".... then she dates Barney, who was perfect for her, but of course the writers had different plans and ruined this. Then we finally see Ted moved on from Robin with the mother and Robin tells Lily she didn't want to stay long thar night because her ex husband was there hitting on girls and the guy she probably should have ended up with was there with the beautiful mother of his children. See the pattern? Robin only wants Ted when she can't have him, or at the lowest points of her life. I never liked them together, they were just not meant to be. Ted spent his late 20s and early 30s in love with her and he finally let her go and met the one only to end up with the person who once broke his heart and told him she didn't love him. HOW was that a perfect ending?
