The Indiana Fever's rough start to the season continued on Tuesday with an 88-82 defeat to the visiting Los Angeles Sparks. They are now 1-7, which is their worst start since 2021, and sit in 11th place. There was one silver lining from the result, however, which was a historic performance from Caitlin Clark.

Clark got a 30 piece, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals but her teammates and coach suck so bad they lost again.

It's hard to believe a professional coach can be this bad coach Sides. Kia Nurse was having a field day shooting open 3's all game. Sides had Mitchell guarding her. She had to put Hull or Taylor who she refuses to play, on her! Both are very capable defenders. This team is being sabotaged by this coach. At this point I'm starting to believe this losing is intentional to draft Paige. This is unfortunate because if coached properly the team has sufficient talent to make the playoffs.

Couple thoughts; 1) Kelsey Mitchell never met a shot she didn’t like or take, she is a black hole, once she gets the ball it never comes back. I don’t know what all the hoopla is about her “offensive skills” but they are indeed offensive to the viewer.

2) they desperately need a couple spot up shooters from the 3 off the second pass out of the consistent Clark double teams.

They just don’t have anyone who can hit 3’s off the double team and as long as they don’t, CC will keep getting double teamed.

Teams know the other players can’t consistently beat them from the perimeter.

They’re going to have to make a decision. Either clean the roster and get players who fit Clark’s game or they’re going to flounder. This team won’t win 10 games as constructed.

Wheeler —-> release
Wallace —-> release

Play Taylor and Berger.

Get as many draft picks for next year as possible and commit to a 2-3 year rebuild around Clark.

At this point Linn Dunn and the Fever org should be stepping in to do what's best for the team, and that may mean hiring an elite/ seasoned coach and building around Caitlin, if they really want to salvage this season and alleviate the growing ire and frustration of the fans.🙏🙏🙏
