Rossio Square in Lisbon Portugal | The Heart of Lisbon

Considered the heart of the city, Rossio is a square located right after Lisbon Downtown.

It is a lively place with a vibrant atmosphere, where you can sit and relax by the baroque fountains or enjoy a good Portuguese espresso coffee in one of the many popular cafes.

Rigth next to Rossio make sure to visit the Rossio Train Station, where you can take a train to Sintra, and the Restauradores Square.

I think Lisbon is a beautiful city, but I think it could look even more beautiful if the city removed all the cables and wires from the walls and the overhead ones. It's so messy looking. I know many of the buildings have been getting a fresh coat of paint which is so wonderful to see. I think the city should require uniform signage for different stores in the most iconic parts of the city. Like I said, it's a beautiful city, it just needs to a little improvement here and there to make it really pop.
