POTA Activations: where to operate in a Park July 2021 Livestream - Ham Radio Q&A

A view asks the following questions about Parks on the air map pins and where to operate within a park:

"A friend and I went out to do POTA at the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest with the coordinates given on POTA Site which is just north of Pickerel Lake in the middle of nowhere. A road leading to the coordinates was blocked off by DNR gates which were locked. Were the coordinates given was where you were activating or was it another location? if so what was the location. IF we were to activate that area can we be anywhere within the above listed state Forest or does it need to be at or very near the given coordinates?"

I like these little snippets from your Q&A sessions. They show up by subject on YouTube. Makes it easy to find answers. 👍

Thanks. One of those things that everyone thinks the other guys knows, but yet hardly anyone actually talks about.

the Mark Twain National Forest in MO has multiple large tracts of land scattered across the southern part of the state. Can I assume the same same rule that you covered in this video would apply?

When activating for POTA, are there particular frequencies that should be used?
