I know it's been a while, and there are reasons for that. But I'm back, and hopefully to stay. I definitely won't be able to upload every day, but I'm hoping to be able to upload twice a week. Thank you all for your patience and support! Btw I'm working on getting a better microphone, so stay tuned for that. It won't always sound this bad.

Youtube made me trim out Greg Maddux at number 6.

A top 10 with a closer and no Greg Maddux is inexcusable, idc that Youtube removed it or whatever put him on the darn list.

Found this channel by mistake, but I enjoy it very much. Your videos are outstanding

Just because a trophy was named after Cy Young is a pretty weak argument. With no video or any other evidence, seems pretty silly. Geg Maddux should definitely be on this list over a closer. Maddux was so smart and pin point accuracy. I don't feel a closer should be on this list at all. Just my opinion but I'm right. LOL!

Missing Christy Mathewson, Lefty Grove, and Satchel Paige. Also, Nolan Ryan is credited with a save in the 1969 World Series with the Mets. He most definitely has a ring.

Steve Carlton and Greg Maddux are Missing

Bob Gibson. Man. Love this guy. He hit a batter in an old-timers game for something that happened 10 years prior. Look that story up.

Wow not a mention of Steve Carlton. Maybe he didn`t make your list but at least an honorable mention?

If I'm playing one game for all the marbles I want Koufax on the mound...the GOAT IMHO...

You Really Have Mariano Rivera At Number 3 ALL TIME. He Is Just A Closer, Only Works 3 Outs. I Guess You Never Heard Of Rodger Clemens With The MOST CY YOUNG Awards At 7. Or Greg Maddox But You Choose A Relief Pitcher At #3. God Speed Bro😎🙏💯

Great video my guy. I would have to disagree with number 1 even though you hold a point. I would give that title to no other than… Satchel Paige. The man pitched into his 50’s and was Dominating. Completely amazing!

Great video, man, keep up the great work!🎉

Ryan deserves to be on this list. I've had the chance to meet Nolan Ryan, when they opened Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas, which is one of his properties. Nice guy.

Max Sherzer, Steve Carlton, Phil Niekro, “Satchel” Page, Bob Feller, Lefty Grove, Charles “Kid” Nichols, Mordecai “Three Finger” Brown, Jim Palmer, Tom Seaver, “Big Ed” Walsh, Cy Young, Justin Verlander, “Rube” Waddell, Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan, and Juan Marichal are just some more to consider that I can think of off the top of my head. Also, I think Pedro Martinez could be higher on the list. This is just my opinion. Yes, I am a Red Sox fan but I try to be as objective as poossible when I make such selections. Even the “‘Roids Boys” couldn’t touch him.

Wasn't Nolan Ryan on the roster of the "69 World Champion Mets?

Whatever way you did this list it definitely is not the best way to do it. I am just going to use one stat for all ten of these guys to show Lefty Grove is better than all but one

Grove versus Gibson: Grove had nine ERA titles to Gibson's one. Grove had a 113.3 bWAR in 3940.2 innings; Gibson had 81.7 in 3884 innings.

Grove versus Seaver: Grove led the league in ERA nine times to Seaver's three. In 842 more innings than Grove Seaver had a 7.2 lower bWAR and he had a 1.27 ERA+ to Grove's 148. Also I have Seaver number eight (8) on my list, but no match for Grove.

Grove versus Pedro Martinez: Grove won nine ERA titles to Martinez five they happen to have both pitched 2827 innings, Martinez in his career Grove in 11 seasons from 1928-39 (excluding a sore arm in 1934 Here is comparison for the 2827 innings:

Win-Lost

ERA

WAR oer

Grove versus Randy Johnson: Grove had a 9.8 advantage o WAR over Johnson 113.3 to 103.5 in 195 fewer innings. This is a list of the top 20pitchers all time on Black Ink (finishing first in the league) in the crucial categories of Wins, Winning Percentage, ERA, ERA+ Strikeouts, Strikeouts per game (SPG) (FIP (fielding independent pitching) WHIP, SO/Walk ratio and WAR for pitchers; Here is the list.

ER..A. ERA+ SO.SPG FIP.WHIP SO/W WAR/P
Ink Tot

Walter Johnson 6 2 5 6 12 7 6 9 7 9 69

Lefty Grove 4 5 9 9 7 5 8 5 8 8 68

Roger Clemens 4 3 7 8 5 3 8 3 4 7 52

Randy Johnson 1 4 4 6 9 9 6 3 1 6 49

Chrty Mathewson 4 1 5 6 4 1 8 4 9 5 47

Satchel Paige 1 3 3 2 5 8 6 6 9 2 45

Dazzy Vance 2 0 3 3 7 8 7 3 8 4 45

Cy Young 5 2 2 2 2 0 7 7 11 6 44

Pete Alexander 6 1 5 4 6 2 4 5 3 6 42

Pedro Martinez 1 3 5 5 3 5 5 6 4 3 40

Sandy Koufax 3 2 5 2 4 6 6 4 3 2 37

Tom Seaver 3 1 3 3 5 6 4 3 3 3 34

Rube Waddell 1 1 2 3 6 8 5 1 1 3 31

Nolan Ryan 0 0 2 2 11 12 1 2 1 0 31

Clayton Kershaw 3 1 5 4 3 2 2 4 2 3 29

Greg Maddux 4 1 4 5 0 0 4 4 3 3 28

Justin Verlander 4 3 2 3 5 1 0 4 3 3 28

Carl Hubbell 3 2 3 3 1 1 1 6 5 2 27

Bob Feller 6 1 1 0 7 5 1 2 1 3 27

Warren Spahn 8 1 3 2 4 0 1 4 0 1 24

Now Randy Johnson i a first rate HOFer and deserving to be higher on the list, but not as
high as Grove

Grove versus Koufax: Koufax had a 53.1 WAR for his career in 2324.1 innings; Grove had 53.1 for WAR in 1683.2 innings from 1928-33. For the rest of his career Grove had 60.2 WAR in 2257 innings. And Grove had almost twice the Black Ink as Koufax and a 148 ERA+ to Koufax's 131.

Walter Johnson should probably be number one and Lefty Grove number two.

Mariano is a releif pitcher an there are probably four or five guys on this list of ten that would have been better reliever than Rivera, though hs is the relief GOAT

Nolan Ryan on a top ten list is a joke.

Cy Young was a great pitcher an deservs to be in the top ten, but the first great pitchers in baseball history was Kid Nichols; Cy Young was better but came a year or so later.

Yaz played for Boston in the AL; Gibson pitched for St Louis in the NL.

Should probably have done a once over through some historical list to make sure you didn't forget someone, like I don't know...Greg Maddux! When I got through the first half I wasn't surprised you hadn't listed him yet because he's much better than that and thought for sure he would be #1. It's pretty crazy not to have what many, many people considered the greatest ever. If anyone thinks Cy Young is the best ever they clearly have holes in their baseball knowledge. The guy pitched in an era where most of the batters he was facing had other jobs and it was much, much easier back when he played. He had a lot of wins but he also had a shitload of losses. Just because the award for best pitcher each year is named after him doesn't mean he is the best ever, it just means he was really good as one of the best known earliest pitchers.
