Of course it works, Doc! Atari games are notoriously reliable as long as they are stored someplace that's not too damp, then the oxidization gets them. the one's buried out in the desert probably still work, lol!

Riddle of the Sphinx is really a good game for it's time, has an inventory that you access with the 2nd controller and all kinds of stuff to pickup, and oasis ponds to heal you. Most people hate on it because they never read the instructions, which happens when you have a loose cart. But you have the original BOX!
