Those domes would have had to be formed in one continuous pour, to prevent cracking.
And in antiquity, the ground level of central Rome was 20-30 feet lower than it is now.

As a very young boy, among my early interests were paleontology, astronomy, and Egyptology...I actually constructed a to-scale cardboard model of the Giza Plateau when I was in 3rd grade and attempted to learn how to read hieroglyphs.
Since then I have focused more on theoretical physics, quantum mechanics, genetics and molecular biology and Judaic studies and languages.
Can't wait for more of your content as I've already mercilessly binged it all!
