How is it that you can control the camera without any cables connected to the Ronin S?

I followed all the procedures described in the video. My gimbal is turned on with an on/off green light on mode 1. However, the gimbal is not working although is perfectly balanced. After further researching, I realized that probably the activation procedure was omitted in this video. I don't have a compatible smartphone to activate the gimbal. Just to verify, is it necessary a smartphone or tablet to make the robin s work? Or do I am missing something?

When in flashlight mode, click the joystick to the left or right twice quickly, to start rolling without holding the joystick. To stop rolling with the camera upright, double click the front button. (New functionality from a later firmware release, they need to update this video.)

But u need to say it easier and put spacing between each step to decifer it. Its exhausting
Your just rolling from step to another. I get it, its alot of info but keep it interesting.
They send u nothing when u purchase it in the box

My app does not look anything like this one and can't find configuration on it . I have been struggling with for months now and tried looking for another app and the app I have, dei have told me that I have the correct app .

"For optimal performance press the trigger spelling out the national anthem in morse code before each start" o_0 seriously, the gimbal needs a tiny OLED screen to replace all the crazy indicator lights and add more buttons to replace the trigger codes. Not optimal for run and gun shooting.
