My mother whom passed away few weeks ago, had to wait in ER over 5 hours just to see a doctor on her first visit. And while in the observation room (one step down from ICU) never received IV drip due to shortage, she was just given the salt solution and whole bunch of pills. They would run many invasive MRI to see the lump behind her nose that was discovered, which after her 4th MRI, she lost her eye sight. Never got to point of getting it diagnosed through biopsy due to no way to make the appointment. I appreciated many nurses and doctors who were attentive to my mother during her last days on earth. But there were few bad apples, too. The system is BROKEN Long time ago but it is getting worse. Especially if you are seniors with chronic condition, is pretty much either stay hospitalized and be pumped with many pills till hospice days or be sent home to pass away at the comfort of your own home.

If they want to make the healthcare system better, put more money into coverage and reducing deductibles and co-pays, instead of record profits.

I agree the Health Care Industry sucks.. my husband was on a very expensive medication for his cancer treatment $100, 000 a month that our insurance company was covering, new year new insurance company who denied him continued coverage of that medicine who knows if he would not still be here or would have lived longer if he could have continued with the treatment plan he was on.. he died 6 months later 2023. She ought to be prosecuted criminally and civilly for obstruction of justice and filing a false police report, and be sued by the three Duke Lacrosse men for defamation of character and slander.
