Using a Sony Action Camera in 2025

Today we are looking back at one of my favorite cameras that sony made. It is a sony action cam mini hdr-az1. Even though it is already a bit old, it is still a great vlog camera for beginners in 2024. It might not be the best, but it is small so you can easily carry it around. With great microphone, stabilisation, low light performance and more features for vlogging. This is the sony camera review in 2024.

The last renditions of the Sony Action cameras are top of the line! The HDR-AS300 and the FDR-X3000 I prefer over newer GoPros because of how good the sensor and the optical stabilization is!

Great video. I have a sony action cam and I love. I like the features, the quality is nice, and also I find the audio quality is also really decent too for vlogging. I have a cheap snart phone, and my sony action camera is many times better for the audio. I put a sponge over the microphone as a wind filter. I also am not a huge fan of the fisheye look. I wish it was more natural looking, as the fisheye looks unatural. But that is my only complaint. I have been making youtube videos for several years and I am now monetized, so I think I will being using my action cam to make some more videos very soon!

What app do you use to access the action cam? Seems the playmemories already not available

I was really hoping to see 1080p fullest HD setting in here because now with 4k youtube it won't compress it as hard as in older videos (in time it was actually sold) so I can see what that camera is actually capable of, but you only gave us 720p low bitrate... So what even the point of that review, how is it to use pretty not bad camera in most unappropriate way?
