Aircraft Weight and Balance

We are a group of students from the diploma of Aviation Management & Services (AMS) in Temasek Polytechnic.

For our Airline Operations (ALOPS) Module Project, we were tasked with creating a 12-minute long informative video on one of the 5 key aspects of Airline Operations.

Unfortunately, we were given the key aspect on "Aircraft Weight & Balance", which is considered one of the harder aspects to portray, relatively speaking, as compared to the other parts such as "Passenger Services" and "Baggage Services".

Despite that, we gladly rose up to accept the challenge.

In this video, we'll give a brief introduction on Aircraft Weight & Balance along with the explanation of :
• The various roles and functions of staff and
departments involved
• The various processes and procedures that make up Aircraft
Weight & Balance
• The importance of Aircraft Weight & Balance in ensuring the
overall effectiveness and viability of Airline Operations

And ending it off with our take on a classic scenario, where the aircraft is out of trim.

Please reply. Which is better, a forward CG or an aft cg and why? What are the pro's of a forward cg as well as an aft cg. Will cg change the fuel burn when comparing a forward cg compared to an aft cg. Which, generally speaking is better. Thank you.
