I tracked one of these sets after giving up on ever seeing a stand-alone release of Skeletor, and wow, what an awesome set! From the box, to the metal weapons, to extras (that ring!), it's one of the best SDCC exclusives I've ever gotten! Thanks for the informative review!

Excellent review, as always! I really like the packaging and how Mattel made it collector friendly. The figures look true to the Filmation cartoon which is how I remember them growing up. I might have been too young to read the mini-comics when they first came out in 1982. I like how you tried on all the different heads and gave an honest assessment of the armor buckles that don't work too well and about how the weight of the weapons makes their arms sag after a short time.
