Pride and Prejudice 2005 is a great movie to understand the book better. It didn't make much of an emotional impact on me until I saw it in motion and I'm sold on the book now

Please give pride and prejudice another chance! But do it this way. Watch the British version tv show that’s on Hulu with Colin firth and then read the book. Then stop once you read what you watched then go back to the show. Keep going back and forth between show and book until done. I did this when I read it for a book report because I had trouble figuring out what was going on but this helped me to know what actually happened.

I'm usually the same way with plot like I desperately need something anything to happen, but I actually really liked Legends and Lattes. It was like a palette cleanser for me when I read it, but I totally get how not enough happened.

The Night Circus is the book I'm reading now. It's very much vibes and slow plot. I'm here for it. But I can see how its not for everyone and it moves so so slow. Its like almost 500 pages. Im using the audiobook to get through it

I highly enjoyed Gabrielle Zevin's Elsewhere, which is YA, shorter, and about a girl living in the afterlife. There, they age backwards until they're reborn on earth. Such an interesting read! Haven't read anything else by her, but Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac is on my TBR.

Okay but try Pride and Prejudice again without an audiobook. I literally can still remember the way it made my heart flutter because it was soooo swoon worthy and romantic. I remember I tried Little Women as an audiobook and hated it but I loved it when I read it myself.
