Isla Mujeres Travel Vlog // Meet my husband!

We took a trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico and stayed at Mia Reef All Inclusive Resort.

My husband and I haven't taken a vacation without kids for 6 years (since our honeymoon!). We were long overdue for some R&R.

Some great things about our resort and Island experience from a low-waste perspective:

No single use plastic save the bottled water, which was an unfortunate necessity. For example, drinks at the beach were served in reusable, durable plastic cups).

Next time, I will bring a large water bottle and my Yeti. I think I could have refilled the water bottle at the buffet (which also had filtered water) and used less bottled water or none at all. Now we know for next time.

Restaurants were concerned for the environment in one form or another!

I started of really great with the vlogging, but then decided to do more enjoying and less filming. LOL! Next time I hope to find a better balance.
