How to check the shutter count in G9II?
I extensively used the Panasonic Lumix G9II for a couple of months and I’ve decided to sell it as I found G9ii is NOT the right camera for me. While listing the G9II for sale, I wanted to know how to find the shutter count of G9II. Usually, I will upload the latest picture in any of the shutter count finding websites which will display the shutter count after processing. But in this case, the usual websites couldn’t fetch the data from the file. I wasn’t able to find any articles on how to find the shutter count in G9II. So, I decided to try all the options mentioned in the internet related to other Panasonic cameras such as S5ii as they share the same bodies with G9ii and here is how you can get the shutter count data in G9ii.

Many articles suggest that you need to have the SD card in the camera to get the shutter count information but with your camera's battery well charged, perform the following steps in sequence.

STEP 1 - Press and hold both the PLAYBACK and AF/AE LOCK buttons, while turning the camera ON the camera. (You are now entering the Temporary Service Mode where you can find the error codes options in the settings.)
STEP 2 - Press the MENU/SET button to enter into the menu.
STEP 3 - Navigate to the WRENCH ICON Page in the WRENCH ICON Page.
STEP 4 - Select the ERR CODE DISP option (the last menu in the OTHERS 2 Page)
STEP 5 - Press the MENU/SET button to switch to the next screen.
STEP 6 - Write down the numbers next to SHTCNT. This is the shutter actuation count;
STEP 7 - Switch the camera off to revert back to normal operating mode.

Congratulations, you have successfully retrieved the shutter actuations information!

Got a Japanese model and I try to select FRENCH language, it works, but when I shut off the camera and turn it on, it is back to Japanese. How to solve this?

thanks for the video, I couldn't find a way to count the number of shots either.
Why isn't this the right room for you?
I'm very happy with it, especially for videos, I think it's the best camera I've ever had, and I've had g9 i, gh6, om-1 and s5 ii and even a sony zv-e10. In the end I felt that the G9 II was the right camera for me.
Which room is right for you?

Best regards
